Discount %

Discount % are applied directly to the sales line price when specific conditions are met. These conditions may include:

  • Quantity
  • Base Quantity
  • Gross Weight
  • Net Weight
  • Number of Parcels

With the Advanced Price Management module you can then create multi-level discount as explained here.

Discount Fees

A discount fee is a fixed amount deducted per unit of a defined base (e.g., net weight, gross weight, quantity).

In the fresh produce market and similar industries, it’s common to negotiate deals using discount fees rather than percentage-based discounts. This method allows for more precise control over pricing, especially when working with variable-weight items.

Free Item

This feature supports “Buy X, Get Y Free” campaigns.

When conditions are met, the system automatically adds a second sales line with the free item and its corresponding quantity.

  • The original item remains unchanged.
  • The free item is added as a separate line.
  • Pricing logic ensures the free item is charged as defined.

Substitution

Substitution allows you to replace a standard item with a promotional or alternative item, while maintaining the original pricing conditions.

🔹 Example: During a seasonal campaign, a 500ml conditioner is replaced with a 750ml promotional version at the same price.

Key Benefits:

  • No need for customers to know the promotional item code.
  • The system automatically replaces the item on the sales line.
  • Pricing is calculated based on the original item.

⚠️ Unlike discounts or free items, substitution modifies the item number on the sales line.
