Integration with Manufacturing Essentials
The Bricklead Production Optimization extension includes an indirect integration with the Manufacturing Essentials app. While no direct dependency is enforced, the integration enables consistent behavior when managing co/by-products and production variances.
Setup
When using Manufacturing Essentials, a Main Product may have associated Co/By-Products. In Factory Planning, this relationship is preserved to ensure that scheduling, movement, and adjustments respect the linked nature of those lines.
Two new fields are added to the Factory Planning page:

| From Prod Order Line No | Specifies the Main Product Line No related to the Co/By-Product. |
Manufacturing Essentials introduces an Operational Status to track the real-time progress of production orders. Factory Planning restricts certain actions based on this status:
- Only Released orders with Operational Status = Pending can be retrieved for planning.
- A validation is added in the Retrieve action to enforce this condition.
Business Rules
The following business rules apply when having both extensions installed:

| Move Lines to Block | Not allowed unless both Main Product and Co/By-Product lines are selected. Otherwise, error: “A Co/By-Product Line cannot be moved to another Block.” |
| Split Production Order | Not allowed for Co/By-Products. Error: “It is not possible to Split Co/By-Products.” |
