Planning Characteristics
Defines the different Planning Characteristics used to classify and prioritize production order lines during scheduling. Each Planning Characteristic allows the system to group and sequence production orders efficiently according to operational rules and priorities.
Setup
Use the Search icon and select Planning Characteristics.
To define Planning Characteristics, fill the following fields:

| Code | Specifies the code for the Planning Characteristic. |
| Name | Specifies the name of the Planning Characteristic. |
| Priority | Specifies the priority of the Planning Characteristic. |
Planning Characteristics values
On the Planning Characteristics page, the user can define multiple values for each characteristic.
To define Planning Characteristics Values, fill the following fields:

| Code | Specifies the code for the Planning Characteristic value. |
| Name | Specifies the name for the Planning Characteristic value. |
Business Rules

It isn’t possible to have the same Planning Characteristic Code more than once.

It isn’t possible to have the same Priority more than once. If the user tries to select the same Priority on two different codes, the system will show an error.

It isn’t possible to have the same combination between the Planning Characteristics Code and Value Code.
It is also possible to configure Planning Characteristics per Production Line. Use Production Line specific Planning Characteristics to control which characteristics drive scheduling on each line and in which priority order they are applied. Please check Planning Characteristics per Production Line
