Non Conformance Management Introduction

Key Usage Scenario’s

In quality management, non-conformance (NC) is non-satisfaction of a requirement, standard or expectation. Non-conformances are usually classified as critical, major or minor.

  • Critical: anomaly that poses a danger to consumer safety
  • Major: unacceptable anomaly for product quality or general control of activity, but not necessarily a danger to the health of the consumer
  • Minor: secondary anomaly that does not affect consumer safety and essential (or regulatory) characteristics of the product

NC’s can come from customers, suppliers or also internal.
