Setup
Production Follow-Up Assisted Setup
The Assisted Setup will guide you through the installation process of the Production Follow-Up App. Use the Search icon and select Set up Production Follow-Up.
Step 1: Create Default Values and Demo Set
During setup, you can optionally create demo data to help you get started:
- Demo Set for Stop Codes: Automatically creates a list of common stop codes (e.g., Operator Break, Equipment Failure, Maintenance).
- Default Time Entries Journal Template & Batch: Optionally create a default journal template and batch for time entries.
Step 2: Define Default Values for Production Follow-Up Setup
You will be able to define the following default values:
- Allow Machine Status: Enable this to track and control machine status transitions (Setup, Running, Paused, Finished) for production orders.
- Ask Production Follow-Up Filter: Decide if users should be prompted to select a filter profile each time they open the dashboard.
- Allow Machine Status Control on Output: Restrict output posting to when the machine status is “Running.”
- Post Time Entries as Capacity Ledger Entries: Choose whether time entries should be posted to the capacity ledger for audit and costing purposes.
- Time Entries Journal Template & Batch: Select template and Batch for posting time entries.
If Allow Machine Status Control on Output is enabled, users will not be able to post output entries unless the machine is set to Running. This enforces process discipline but may block urgent postings if status is not updated.
The fields “Allow Machine Status Control on Output”, “Post Time Entries as Capacity Ledger Entries”, “Time Entries Journal Template” and “Time Entries Journal Batch” are only editable if “Allow Machine Status” is enabled.
