Assigning Requirements and Specification for Production

To assign a Quality Requirements and Specifications to a Production Consumption/Output, first, it’s needed to assign that same QRS to a Production BOM.

Production BOM will be the link between a QRS and a Production Order.

This way:

• to define QRS for the main item that is being produced (Output Item), then it’s necessary to setup QRS for Production BOM Header.

• to define QRS for the Components (Consumption Item), then the setup is done on Production BOM Lines.

To ensure quality integrity, the following rules apply when assigning or activating a QRS card for BOMs:

• No duplicate active QRS cards can exist for the same:

  • Entity Code

  • Date range

  • Location

  • Item, Item Category, Item Treeview, or All Items

The system will prevent assignment or activation of QRS cards if this uniqueness rule is violated.

This prevents conflicting quality specifications from being applied to the same BOM components.
