Production Order Recipe
Production Order
Production Order Lines
Production Order Lines now include two new fields: Recipe No. and Recipe Version Code. These fields are automatically populated when the Production Order is refreshed. The system searches for a Recipe that matches the following criteria for each Production Order Line:
- Item No.
- Production BOM No. (and version, if applicable)
- Routing No. (and version, if applicable)
If a matching Recipe is found, the fields are automatically filled, and you can open the Production Order Recipe Card.
Production Order Recipe Card
The Production Order Recipe is generated from the combination of the Recipe Card, Production Order Components, and Production Order Routing. It is accessible across all Production Order Statuses, allowing users to view the recipe information regardless of the order’s status.
The Components and Routing pages are dynamic, updating based on the selected instruction lines. These pages display the respective steps for each instruction.
When the page is opened, the system verifies the following:
- For lines with Line Type = Prod.BOM in the Recipe Card, the system checks if corresponding Production Order Component lines exist. If no match is found, the Expected Quantity is empty.
- For lines with Line Type = Routing in the Recipe Card, the system checks if matching Production Routing lines exist. If no match is found, the Setup Time and Run Time remain empty.
- The Position field functions as in the Production BOM and serves as an informational field to help identify the order of each component in the Recipe.
- If the Lot No. and Expiration Date are assigned to components in the Item Tracking Lines, these fields are automatically populated when the page is opened. If there is more than one lot defined for each component, it will appear as Multiple.
- If a Prod. BOM is referenced in the Recipe Card Line with Type = Prod.BOM, the system will “explode” the Production BOM into its components.
Changes on Routing and Components on Production Order
The following validations and behaviors apply when updating the Production Order Components and Production Order Routing lines:
- If a Production Component Line that exists in the Production Order Recipe is deleted, a warning message will appear, and the corresponding line in the Production Order Recipe will be updated to zero.
- If a Production Order Routing Line that exists in the Production Order Recipe is deleted, a warning message will appear, and the corresponding line in the Production Order Recipe will be updated to zero.
- Adding new lines to the Production Component or Production Order Routing does not update the Production Order Recipe.
- If any changes are made to the Item No. or Variant Code in the Production Components, or the Work Center No., Machine Center No., or Type in the Production Order Routing, the Quantity will be reset to zero, as the line no longer matches the Production Order Recipe.
Note: Changes made to the Item No./Variant Code or Work/Machine Center directly on the Production Order will not be reflected on the Production Order Recipe. To update the Recipe, changes should be made directly on the Recipe Card, or a new version of the same recipe should be created.
Marking Instructions as Done
-
The Done field on the Instructions page indicates when an instruction has been completed.
-
When set to True, the system automatically records the following details:
- User ID: The ID of the user who marked the instruction as completed.
- Date/Time: The exact date and time when the instruction was marked as done.
-
Once an instruction is marked as Done, it will not be visible on the page. This ensures that completed tasks are no longer displayed as pending. All Instructions (Done and Not Done) can be consulted on Instructions Review.
This behavior applies only to Production Orders with a status of Released. For orders in any other status (Simulated, Planned, or Firm Planned), it is not possible to set the instructions as Done.
Instructions Review
This page allows users to review all instruction lines, including those marked as Done.
You can open this page from the Production Order Recipe Card when clicking on action Instructon Review:
Deactivate the Done Status
If an instruction was marked as Done by mistake, the user can deactivate it.
- When deactivated, the User ID and Done Date fields are cleared.
- The line will become visible again on the Instructions page for further action.
- Users can only set the Done field to True directly on the Production Order Recipe Card page. In the Instructions Review, users can only deactivate the Done status.
- The Done field is only editable for Released Production Orders.
