Trading File Setup
The Trading File Setup includes two parameters to enable if you want to raise alerts when trading file qunatities are reached.
Sales
Creating a New Sales Order/Sales Invoice from Trading File
When creating a new Sales Order or Sales Invoice from the Trading File, if the value in the Qty. (Base) on Sales field is equal to or exceeds the value in the Quantity field on the source Trading File Line, a message will appear: You have already reached the trading file line Qty., are you sure you want to go on?. This message pops up when you click on the Make Sales Document / Sales Order, Make Sales Document / Sales Invoice or Make Sales Document / Sales Blanket Order action.
- If you click Yes, a new Sales Order/Invoice/Blanket order is created.
- If you click No, no Sales document is created.
Assigning Quantity to an Existing Line or Attaching an Existing Sales Order/Invoice Line
When assigning a quantity to an existing line or attaching an existing Sales Order/Invoice line, the system checks if the sum of the “Qty (Base) on Sales” field and the “Quantity” field on the Sales line exceeds the Quantity on the Trading File Line.
If the quantity exceeds, the message “You have already reached the trading file line Qty., are you sure you want to go on?” will appear.
- If you click Yes, the new Sales Order/Invoice line quantity is validated.
- If you click No, the Sales Order/Invoice line quantity is not updated.
Purchase
Creating a New Purchase Order/Purchase Invoice from Trading File
When creating a new Purchase Order or Purchase Invoice from the Trading File, if the value in the Qty. (Base) on Purchase field is equal to or exceeds the value in the Quantity field on the source Trading File Line, a message will appear: You have already reached the trading file line Qty., are you sure you want to go on?. This message pops up when you click on the Make Purchase Document / Purchase Order, Make Purchase Document / Purchase Invoice or Make Purchase Document / Purchase Blanket Order action.
- If you click Yes, a new Purchase Order/Invoice/Blanket order is created.
- If you click No, no Purchase document is created.
