Integration with Packaging

Packaging

  • Integration with Packaging will just be for informational purposes. No Packaging Ledger Entries will be created through Transport App.
  • Transport Orders only will handle Shipping Container Units.
  • The value entered in the Packaging Lines field “Packaging Quantity” will be carried over to the Transport Order field “Shipping Container Unit Quantity.”
  • Multiple Shipping Container Units codes can be in the same Transport Order (one for each line). No totals will be done for a total of Shipping Container Units. However, Totals will be calculated for “Ground Pallets”.
  • Packaging Quantity and Packaging Code can be changed on the Transport Order. This change will NOT be reflected on Packaging Lines.

Ground Pallets Integration

  • When creating a Transport Order from a Sales/Purchase/Transfer Order, the value of the “Ground Pallets Quantity” is inherited from the related Packaging Line (if exists);

  • When creating a Transport Order from Transport Worksheet, the value of the “Ground Pallets Quantity” is inherited from the Packaging Line related to the source a Sales/Purchase/Transfer Order line (if exists).

  • When a “Ground Pallets Quantity” is changed on Packaging Line of a Sales/Purchase/Transfer Order Line with an existing related Transport Order, then a warning message for that Transport Order appears:

  • “Ground Pallets Quantity” field on Transport Order Lines can be manually filled.

  • “Ground Pallets Quantity” value must be positive if “Shipping Container Unit Quantity” is positive. Also, the “Ground Pallets Quantity” value must be negative if “Shipping Container Unit Quantity” is negative.

  • “Ground Pallets Quantity” is filled with the value of “Shipping Container Unit Quantity”. If Shipping Container Unit Quantity is manually updated, the value of “Ground Pallets Quantity” is also updated.
