Review Lot No. Inheritance on Released Production Orders
Ensuring accurate lot attribute inheritance is crucial for maintaining traceability and compliance in manufacturing processes. The Review Lot No. Inheritance on Released Prod. Order feature provides users with a structured method to verify and manage inherited lot attributes before finalizing production. By offering a comprehensive review interface, this feature minimizes errors and ensures that attributes such as expiration dates and quality indicators are correctly applied to finished goods.

Business Rules
The Review Output Lot No. Attributes action opens the Lot No. Attributes Review page for the Released Production Order Lines.
-
This page is divided into three list parts: Output Tracking Lines, Consumption Entries, and Output Lot No. Attributes.
-
The page can always be opened to display existing information for the Released Production Order. If no information exists, the page is blank.
-
No changes, creation, or deletion of records should be possible on Output Tracking Lines and Consumption Entries.
-
The Apply Suggested Values action should update the Current Value for all lines from the Output Lot No. Attributes with the value from the field Suggested Value.
- If a consumption is posted after the output is produced with a new attribute, using this action should add the new attribute and respective value to the Output Lot No. Attributes, with Suggested Value, Current Value, and New Value populated accordingly.
-
If an attribute update is performed on an output lot that already has item ledger entries, the system should display a warning to the user when the New Value differs from the previous value.
-
The entry types that should trigger this warning include:
- Sales
- Transfers
- Consumption
- Assembly Consumption
-
The same warning should appear if the user attempts to add a new line, delete a line, or use the Apply Suggested Values action.
-
-
The new action Filter Consumption to this Value should only work for one selected attribute. If multiple lines are selected in Output Lot No. Attribute, the system will filter based on the last selected line.
Data Display Prioritization
- The Consumption Entries List should prioritize Promoted Attributes first, arranged according to their defined priority levels. Non-promoted attributes should be displayed afterward.
- The Output Lot No. Attributes List should also prioritize Promoted Attributes, followed by non-promoted attributes.
User Permissions
- Users should be able to delete lines and add new ones.
- The Suggested Value field should be auto-calculated when a line is created (either manually by the user, when the Lot No. Attributes Review page is opened, or when the Lot No. Attribute field is updated). This field should not be editable.
- The Actual Value field should reflect the Lot No. Attribute value for the selected Lot No. and Item No. and should not be editable.
- The New Value field should automatically mirror the Actual Value field. If Actual Value is updated, New Value should be updated as well. However, users can manually modify the New Value field, and changes will be applied to the Lot Information Card only when the Lot No. Attributes Review page is closed.
Validation Rules
- If the selected Lot No. and Item No. combination does not have a Lot No. Information card, no lines should be displayed, and users should not be able to manually add new lines.
- When the user selects Close on the page, all Lot No. Attribute value changes should be applied to the Lot No. Information card.
