Description
This release addresses a severe performance issue affecting the Purchase Accruals (FNP - ANP Purchases) report in the Unreceived Invoices module. The report was extremely slow when processing large volumes of purchase receipt lines, sometimes failing to complete at all. The root cause was an inefficient data access pattern performing individual database queries per receipt line and per vendor. The fix introduces a completely rearchitected data access layer using pre-loaded in-memory dictionaries and a new dedicated AL query, reducing execution time from hours to seconds. Additionally, minor overflow protection fixes were applied to the Customer and Vendor Detailed Trial Balance reports.

The root cause was per-line SQL round-trips: for each receipt line, the system performed individual CalcSums queries on Purch. Inv. Line and Purch. Cr. Memo Line tables, plus nested live dataitems scanning Purch. Rcpt. Header → Purch. Rcpt. Line per vendor. What was corrected: (1) A new query object isaFBIFR_RcptLineNotInv (ID 8118565) was created to retrieve all non-invoiced receipt lines in a single database pass. (2) The report isaFBIFR_Purchase INR - CMNR (ID 8118564) was completely rearchitected: nested dataitems replaced by an Integer loop over a pre-populated temporary record buffer (TempRcptLine); per-line CalcSums replaced by pre-loaded dictionaries (LateInvoicedQty, LateCrMemoQty) built once in OnPreReport. (3) New secondary keys isaFBIFR_PostingDate added on Purch. Inv. Line (table ext. 8118579) and Purch. Cr. Memo Line (table ext. 8118580) to support efficient filtering. (4) CopyStr overflow protection added in XLS_InsertCell procedure of reports isaFBIFR_Cust. Det. Trial Bal. (ID 8118562) and isaFBIFR_Vendor Det.Trial Bal. (ID 8118563). Dead commented-out code removed from the Vendor report. Impacted objects: Report 8118564, Report 8118562, Report 8118563, Query 8118565, TableExt 8118579, TableExt 8118580. |
Breaking changes du to change in report structure. If any customization made on top of report 8118564 we strongly advice direct upgrade to 25.0.9788.53637 that fixes migration path. |
