Demo License — First Installation Behavior

When a Bricklead application is installed for the first time and no license has been assigned yet, the license engine automatically creates a Demo license:

  • On SaaS Production environments: a Demo license is retrieved from Bricklead’s licensing servers. The trial period and feature level are determined by the license file returned.
  • On SaaS Sandbox environments: a Demo license is created locally with a 7-day expiration and Premium level. If your organization has already been identified (e.g., via the Prospect Wizard), the trial is extended to 30 days.
  • If Bricklead’s servers are temporarily unreachable, a fallback Demo license is created locally with a 30-day expiration and Premium level, and a notification is displayed.

Notifications and Alerts

The license engine displays in-app notifications in Dynamics 365 Business Central to keep you informed about the status of your licenses. Notifications appear at the top of the screen when the Role Center is opened.

Please complete the Contact Form to extend your trial to 30 days.

Prospect Wizard — Contact Form

The Prospect Wizard is a guided, multi-step form that allows you to register your organization’s contact details with Bricklead. Completing this form is required to:

  • Extend your Demo trial to 30 days (instead of the default 7 days).
  • Allow Bricklead to assign a formal customer license to your environment.

You can open the Prospect Wizard by:

  • Clicking Contact Form on the Bricklead License Setup page.
  • Clicking Access the Form from the notification that appears at the Role Center when the form has not yet been filled in.
  • Searching for Prospect Wizard in the search bar.

Wizard Steps

The wizard consists of four sequential steps:

Step 1 — End User License Agreement

Read the Bricklead End User License Agreement. You must check the I accept the EULA box before proceeding.

Step 2 — Privacy Statement

Read Bricklead’s privacy statement. You must check Yes, I consent to sending these informations before proceeding.

Step 3 — Contact Information

Provide your organization’s details:

Would you like to be contacted by a reseller? ☐ Optional Check this box if you consent to being contacted by a Bricklead-authorized reseller.

Step 4 — Summary and Finish

Review a summary of the information you entered. When satisfied, click Consent and Finish to save and submit.

Clicking Consent and Finish saves your contact information to the environment and transmits it securely to Bricklead’s telemetry platform (only when explicit consent has been given in Step 2).

Buying a License

When you choose Buy license… from a notification:

  1. The system records your license request with Bricklead’s licensing platform.
  2. A message is displayed with Bricklead’s licensing email address, your Environment ID, and the App ID of the application.
  3. Send an email to the address shown, including both identifiers, to initiate the purchase process.

Important: License purchase is only possible from a SaaS Production environment. If you attempt this from a Sandbox, a message informs you that the action is not available in that environment type.

Contacting Bricklead Support

When you choose Contact us… from a notification:

  1. A message is displayed with Bricklead’s support email address, your Environment ID, and the App ID.
  2. Send an email to the address shown with those details to get assistance.
