Planning Components

While the Manufacturing Batch Size app does not include the planning module, enhancements have been made to the Planning Components to ensure alignment with batch-specific requirements.

Calculations and Behaviors

When calculating the Planning Components, the system will use the following formula for Calculation Formula = Fixed Quantity per Batch:

• Expected Quantity = (Quantity / Batch Quantity) × Quantity per Batch

Quantity is derived from the Requisition Line and Batch Quantity is sourced from the Production BOM Header of the Requisition Line.

The division (Quantity / Batch Quantity) will always round up to the nearest integer, allowing decimal places in the result, to correspond to the batch size defined on the respective Production BOM.

• If a Planning Component Line is based on a Production BOM with Calculation Formula = Fixed Quantity per Batch, the Quantity per field will be non-editable.
• Manually adding a line to the Planning Components with Calculation Formula = Fixed Quantity per Batch is prohibited. If attempted, the system will display an error.

Scrap Handling

Scrap percentages or fixed scrap quantities defined in the Production BOM or Routing are excluded during component planning calculations when the Calculation Formula = Fixed Quantity per Batch is applied.
