Production BOM

To accommodate batch-specific requirements, the Production BOM Header has been enhanced to support better batch management. Two new fields, Batch Quantity and Batch Size BOM, allow users to define and control batch-specific parameters directly at the header level. These fields provide flexibility and ensure that all production processes align with batch-specific configurations.

The Production BOM Lines page has been extended to accommodate batch-level calculations and validations. Two new fields, % Batch Quantity and Quantity per Batch, enable users to configure and control the component quantities used for each batch. Additionally, a new Calculation Formula option, Fixed Quantity per Batch, supports fixed quantities independent of the total production quantity.

Working with Batch Production BOM

• The option Calculation Formula = Fixed Quantity per Batch can only be selected if Batch Size BOM = YES.
• Quantity per field becomes non-editable when Calculation Formula = Fixed Quantity per Batch.
  • The user must populate Quantity per Batch, which is a mandatory field (indicated with a red asterisk).
  • The Quantity per field will be automatically updated to match the Quantity per Batch.
• % Batch Quantity is manually entered. When filled, the system calculates the other fields as follows:
  • Quantity per = %Batch Quantity / 100
  • Quantity per Batch = (%Batch Quantity / 100) × Batch Quantity
  • Updates in any field recalculate the % Batch Quantity.
• If the Unit of Measure Code in the Production BOM Line differs from the Production BOM Header, an error message will appear.

Production BOM Version

The Production BOM Version table now supports batch manufacturing by adding two new fields: Batch Quantity and Batch Size BOM. These enhancements allow users to define batch-specific parameters for individual BOM versions, ensuring greater flexibility and consistency when working with different production scenarios.

Working with Batch Production BOM Version

• A version with Batch Size BOM = YES can exist even if the main Production BOM is set differently.

• If the user modifies Batch Quantity or Batch Size BOM when the Status is set to Certified, an error will appear.
