If on the
QCS per Doc. Type, the field “Handling” is filled with “Manual”, you must create manually a Quality Check.
To create a Quality check from a Document Header:
Open the Document where you want to create a Quality Check (it can any document described on
QCS per Document Type):
Click on Actions, then Create Quality Check
The document can be released or not.
The Quality Check Card will automatically open with status “Open”, as assigned to the document where you created it:
The Quality Check Lines will be automatically filled with the Quality Check Specification defined for the document, on QCS per Document Type.
However, the lines can be manually edited and/or deleted/added.
On the Quality Check General Header, the fields are:

QC Serie Number, defined on the QC Setup.
Document Date
Date of QC Creation. This field is filled by default on the datetime of record insert, but can be manually updated.
Registration Date
Automatically filled with the date of creation; This field can’t be updated.
Status
Automatically filled with the status “Open”. When click on action “Close”, the status will be “Closed”.
Assign-to Document Type
Type of document to which it is linked, or empty if is manually created. Cannot be modified.
Assign-to Document No.
No. of document to which QC is linked. This field cannot be modified.
On the Quality Check General Header, there also exists the “Tracking Information” tab, but the fields when creating from a Document Header are non editable and cannot be filled.
Quality Control Lines are linked to QC Header. When creating a QC from a document, Quality Control Lines are automatically filled with the information from the Quality Check Specification associated.
On Lines, the fields are the ones specified on
Setup Quality Check Specification.
The only fields that are new on Quality Check Card Lines are:

Fill with the value associated to the Quality Check performed.
Result
Can be “Conform” or “Non Conform” the value of this field is determined according to a set defined for each type of
Methods or
Specifications. Option: A “Conform” result corresponds to a marked option and an unmarked option will trigger a “non-conform” result. Integer and Decimal : will be “Conform” if the Result value is with in the target values define in the
Specifications. Text: Fill in a text and the result will be “Conform”". Remember: For this specific type it is not possible to define target values when defining the
Specifications. Date: Result field will stay empty
Comment
Free text field, to write a comment about the line of the QC executed.
Autocreate
If the field “Handling” is filled with “Autocreate”, when the Purchase Order is created, the Quality Check Card is automatically created.
In this case, you only need to fill the editable fields in Lines.
Mandatory
If the field “Handling” is filled with “Mandatory”, when the Purchase Order is created, the Quality Check Card is automatically created.
In this case, you only need to fill the editable fields in Lines.
When Handling=Mandatory, it will not be possible to post the source document (Order, Assembly Order, Production Order, etc.) without Closing the Quality Check Card.
If the user doesn’t close the QC, when posting the document, it will appear an error message:
On the Document page, it is possible to open the Quality Check previously/automatically created. For that, click on Related –> View Quality Check.
