Quality Check Specification

QC Specification (or QCS) will define all Methods that should be performed for an Item or a Document Type. This might be understood as a standard question list or templated list of quality methods.

Quality Check Specifications

  1. On the Search Bar, search for “QC Specification List”:

  2. To create a new QCS card, click on “New”:

  3. This will open a new Window (Quality Check Specification Card), split into Header and Lines:

  4. On the General Fast Tab, you’ll have the fields:

Field Description
Code The code will be automatically filled with the no. series defined on the Setup;
Description Free Text field, to describe the QCS;
Status option field, with the options: New, Validated and Closed.
Only QC Specifications with status Validated will create Quality Checks. If no valid QC Specifications is specified then the following message will appear when trying to create a Quality Check, “No valid QC Specification for this document type or item type“ will pop-up.
  1. On the Lines Fast Tab, you’ll have the fields:
Field Description
QC Method Code Option field, to choose which previously created QC Method is applicable.
Method Description Automatically filled, regarding the chosen QC Method.
Type Inherited from the chosen QC Method.
Unit of Measure Inherited from the chosen QC Method.
Default Value Used to define a default value to be proposed when creating QC records.
Instruction Inherited from the chosen QC Method.
Min Value This value will be used to check that QC method result is matching requirement (only possible to define if the Type is Decimal or Integer).
Max Value this value will be used to check that QC method result is matching requirement (only possible to define if the Type is Decimal or Integer).
Print on Analysis Report set to True if is intended the result line to be communicated to an external party.
