Lot Tracking on Document Lines

Lot Tracking on Document Lines

The fields “Tracking Status” and “Lot No.” are available on the following document lines:

  • Purchase Order
  • Purchase Return Order
  • Sales Order
  • Sales Return Order
  • Transfer Order
  • Warehouse Shipment
  • Warehouse Receipt
  • Physical Inventory Journal

Lot No.

This field will show the Lot No. related to the Item inserted on that line. It also is a shortcut for the Item Tracking Lines.

  • If the Item requires Item Tracking, when inserting the Item, the field is only filled with a trace:

  • This trace is a shortcut. Clicking on it, it will open the item tracking lines:

  • Fill the lines with the related lot:

  • If there’s only one lot related to the item, the lot no. is visible on document lines:

  • If there’s more than one lot related to the same item:

  • The value “Multiple” will be shown:

  • Clicking on the information presented on that field, it is possible to check which lots are associated with the item (because it opens the Item Tracking Lines page).

Tracking Status

The second field that is available for Lot Management is “Tracking Status”.

  • This field, if the item requires lot, is filled with “Pending” when the Lot. No. is not fully assigned to the item.

  • For example, assigning a lot to a line that doesn’t track all the quantity required:

  • The value “Pending” is still appearing on Document Lines, because the item isn’t fully tracked:

  • When the Item is fully tracked, the value “Tracked” will be shown:

This way, is easy to validate the Item tracking information when creating documents.
