Permissions
To use this extension, all users need some extra permissions:

- All Manufacturing Planning Optimization data stored in Business Central database
- Follows standard Business Central retention policies
- No external data transmission
- The app stores operational planning data such as:
- Production Line configurations
- Planning Characteristics
- Planning Characteristic Values
- Changeover Matrix records
- Factory Planning worksheets
- Scheduling proposals
- Maintenance planning configurations
Privacy Compliance
MPO focuses on production planning and manufacturing operations.
The application is primarily designed to process:
- Manufacturing data
- Item information
- Production order information
- Planning configurations
- Scheduling data
Organizations remain responsible for ensuring compliance with local privacy and data protection regulations applicable to their Business Central environment.
Data Archiving
Factory Planning acts as a planning workspace where production schedules are prepared before being applied to production orders. Production orders are only updated after the Adjust action is executed.
Organizations should establish internal policies regarding:
- Retention of planning worksheets
- Historical schedule reviews
- Audit requirements
- Manufacturing traceability requirements
No automatic data archival or deletion is enforced by the app.
