Troubleshooting
Cue Tiles Show Zero When Data Exists
Symptom: The cue tiles display 0 even though you know there are non-conformances or tasks.
Resolution:
- Verify you have proper permissions (briNCM_Basic or briNCM_Setup permission set)
- For “New Non-Conformances”: Confirm the records have Status = “New” (not “In Progress” or “Closed”)
- For “Pending User Tasks”: Verify tasks are assigned to your user account and are not marked as complete
- Refresh the page by pressing F5 or clicking away and back to the Role Center
Cannot See Non-Conformance Management in Role Selection
Symptom: The Non-Conformance Management profile doesn’t appear in the Role dropdown.
Resolution:
- Ensure the Non-Conformance Management app is installed
- Verify the Bricklead License Control is active and the NCM feature is licensed
- Contact your administrator to check if the profile is enabled for your user
Navigation Menu Items Not Visible
Symptom: Some menu items in the navigation area are not showing.
Resolution:
- Check your permission set; some setup pages require the briNCM_Setup permission set
- Verify the application area is properly configured
- Contact your administrator to review your security settings
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Can I customize which cue tiles appear on the Role Center?
A: The cue tiles displayed are fixed by the application design. However, you can customize their appearance (colors, thresholds) using the “Set Up Cues” action.
Q: How often do the cue tile counts refresh?
A: The cue tiles refresh automatically when you navigate to the Role Center and periodically while you work. You can force a refresh by navigating away and back, or pressing F5.
Q: Can I use this Role Center alongside my regular Role Center?
A: You can only have one active Role Center at a time. However, you can easily switch between Role Centers using My Settings. Alternatively, you can access all Non-Conformance pages through the Search function from any Role Center.
Q: Do the Pending User Tasks include only non-conformance related tasks?
A: Yes. The “Pending User Tasks” cue specifically counts only user tasks that are related to Non-Conformance action plans, not all user tasks in the system.
Q: Who should use this Role Center?
A: This Role Center is designed for users who primarily work with quality management and non-conformance handling. Users who only occasionally interact with non-conformances may prefer to keep their standard Role Center and access NCM pages through Search.
