Prod. BOM Where-Used

The “Where-Used” function helps identify all the products and assemblies that utilize a specific BOM. This feature is crucial for understanding the impact of changes made to a BOM across different items.

Besides the Standard behavior, it is now possible to see information of Process Type on where-used lines.

For that, when opening Prod. BOM Where-Used, boolean “Include Process Type” must be active:

When boolean is set to True:

  • If Item doesn’t have a Process Type defined, then, line is bold and Quantity needed is shown on the main line.

  • If Item has a Production Scenario defined, then, the main Line will be bold and Quantity Needed and Process Type fields are empty.

    • Beneath the main line, it will be created as many lines as Process Types are defined for the Item. In these lines, Quantity and Process Type will be filled.
If the raw material is used to produce an item with multiple Production Scenarios with the same Process Type but in different locations:

  • Process Type shown is the one marked as Default.
  • If there’s more than one set as default, Process Type shown is the first one marked as Default.
  • If there’s none marked as Default, it will be shown the Quantity Needed for the first Production Scenario that uses that Process Type.
