Production Scenarios Definitions
Production Scenarios: The Production Scenarios can define multiple Bill of Materials (BOMs), routings, and/or production units of measure for a single output item. These scenarios are categorized by Process Type and enable flexible planning and execution of production based on varying requirements.
Process Type: Defines the different methods by which an output item can be produced. This categorization helps organize production workflows according to specific characteristics and operational needs, facilitating efficient planning and execution.
Family: A group of end-items that share similar design and manufacturing characteristics. This grouping allows for aggregate planning, monitoring sales performance collectively, and occasionally aggregating costs at the family level. Families streamline production and inventory management.
Reference Item: Main component in a Family that is consumed by all output items.
