Sales Order Planning
Process Type on Lines
When opening Sales Order Planning:
-
if an item has a default Production Scenario defined for the selected Location on Sales Lines, and Shipment Date is later than Production Scenario Starting Date, information of Process Type will appear on Sales Order Planning:
-
if Default Production Scenario is of type Family:
- The Process Type field will appear empty.
- The Family boolean will be set to True.
- The line will be displayed in red and bold to alert the user that a Production Order cannot be created for this item.
Update Process Type
Action Update Process Type exists on Sales Order Planning, to change Process Type associated with Sales Lines or to add one, in case theres is no Production Scenario marked as default.
For that, click on action “Update Process Type”:
-
All Process Type existing, with Family = No will appear, so it’s possible to select:
-
If choose a Process Type that’s defined on Production Scenarios, for that Item/Variant/Location and Date, Process Type field will be updated:
-
If choose a Process Type that’s not defined on Production Scenarios, for that Item/Variant/Location and Date, an error message appears:
-
In this case, no change is made and Process Type continue to have the previous value.
Create Production Order
-
If no Process Type is defined on Sales Order Planning Line, then standard behavior will be applied.
-
If the defined Process Type is of type Family, an error message will appear, preventing the creation of a Production Order. The line will retain its original values.
- If there are multiple lines with different Process Types defined (including one with an empty value), and you attempt to create a Production Order with Order Type = Project Order, an error message will appear. This indicates that creating a Project Order with differing Process Types is not allowed.
- In this scenario, use the “Update Process Type” action to modify the associated Process Type.
