License Plate Card
The License Plate Card is a detailed record for each individual License Plate, displaying key information such as the License Plate Number, Type, Location, Bin, and whether it holds inventory.
It includes item-specific details like quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates for items stored on the License Plate, allowing precise tracking and management.
It is possible to change the License Plate Type at any time.
When the License Plate gets empty, the License Plate Card shows a complete transaction history for that License Plate. This includes Item Ledger Entries and movements, providing a clear audit trail of all actions associated with the License Plate, even after its contents are depleted.
License Plates with Inventory
When a License Plate holds inventory, you can see all the following information regarding the License Plate itself and the respective content:

| Item Description | Specifies the description of the item on the License Plate. |
| Variant Code | Specifies the variant code of the item on the License Plate. |
| Quantity | Specifies the quantity of the item currently on the License Plate. |
| Unit of Measure Code | Specifies how each unit of the item is measured. |
| Lot No. | Specifies the lot number if the item carries such a number. |
| Serial No. | Specifies the serial number if the item carries such a number. |
| Expiration Date | Specifies the last date that the item can be used. |
| Quantity in Use | Specifies the quantity of the item that is actively used on warehouse activity lines. |
Reusable License Plates
A License Plate can be setup as Reusable.
This would prevent the deletion of the License Plate.
To setup a License Plate as reusable, the field “Reusable” should be activated. This can be done in any time of the process (with or without inventory).
Blocked License Plates
A License Plate can be setup as Blocked.
If you want to disable usage of already existing License Plates, set the Blocked field to true. Blocked License Plates cannot be used in any transaction on Business Central.
Empty License Plates
When all the content of a License Plate suffers outbound transactions, the user will be able to see on the License Plate Lines the respective content. This includes all the movements from each item, lot or serial number that was tracked by that License Plate No.
It is possible to have License Plates that are empty and without history. In this case, the License Plate won’t show any information on the Lines.
