Integration Between Manufacturing Essentials and Production Scenarios

When both the Manufacturing Essentials app and Production Scenarios are installed, the integration ensures that items cannot be designated as both Reference Items and Process Items within the same Production BOM and Production Component Lines.

Validations

Process Item vs. Reference Item:

• If a user attempts to set an item as a Process Item in a Production BOM while it is already marked as a Reference Item, an error message will be displayed.

Reference Item vs. Process Item:

• Conversely, if a user tries to set an item as a Reference Item when it is already designated as a Process Item, the same error will occur.

Default Process Item Hierarchy

If the Default Process Item Hierarchy is set to Stockkeeping Unit, there is a possibility for both Reference Item and Process Item fields to be active on the Production Order Component Lines.

To prevent conflicts:

• A validation is triggered during the Refresh Production Order action. If both fields are active, an error will occur.
