Stockkeeping Unit
Stockkeeping Units (SKUs) are used to record detailed information about items for specific locations or variants. They allow you to add different information for an item based on its location (e.g., warehouse or distribution center) and specific variants (e.g., different shelf numbers or replenishment details). This ensures accurate tracking and management of items across various settings.
Operational Status
The Operational Status indicates the current phase or state of a Released Production Order. The statuses include:
- Pending: No significant progress or updates have been made.
- Running: Output and consumption can be recorded.
- Completed: No further output or consumption can be recorded.
- In Review: Specific to production managers, allowing validation before progressing further.
The operational status directly impacts permissions and behaviors associated with production order processes, such as posting consumption or outputs and transitioning between statuses.
Production Order Register
The Production Order Register is used to record the initial state of production order quantities for both output and consumption when the operational status of a production order is first set to “Running.” It acts as a snapshot of the initial version of the production order, preserving the initial quantity data. Any subsequent changes to the production order after this status change are not reflected in the register.
Quantitative Review
The Quantitative Review process is used to highlight and review output and consumption variances before finalizing a production order. It ensures that deviations from expected quantities are identified and addressed according to set policies (e.g., warnings or blocks). This process helps maintain accuracy and accountability in production management.
