To use this extension, all users need permissions:
(BRICWT_BASIC)* with this permission set, users can do all the needed setup and use the app;
Data Retention and Privacy
Catchweight Management stores catchweight-related information as part of the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central database.
Data retention, backup policies, and privacy controls are managed according to the organization’s Business Central configuration and internal governance policies.
Bricklead recommends:
- Reviewing access permissions regularly.
- Following company data retention and data governance policies.
- Restricting catchweight maintenance and correction activities to authorized users.
- Maintaining appropriate audit records to support traceability and operational control.
- Regularly validating the accuracy of recorded catchweight information.
Auditability and Traceability
One of the primary objectives of Catchweight Management is to ensure that actual weight information remains visible and traceable throughout the product lifecycle. By maintaining catchweight information alongside inventory transactions, organizations can improve visibility into the movement and handling of variable-weight products across purchasing, warehouse, inventory, transfer, and sales processes.
