Inspection Status Is Not Assigned Automatically

Possible Causes

  • No matching Default Inspection Status rule exists.
  • The item, vendor, customer, category, attribute, or treeview does not match the configured setup.
  • The inbound transaction type is not configured in Default Inspection Status.

Solution

Users Cannot Select a Lot on Sales, Production, Transfer, or Assembly Documents

Possible Causes

  • The lot’s Inspection Status is configured to block Select for that document type.

Solution

  • Review the configuration of the Inspection Status assigned to the lot.
  • Check the relevant document type setup in Lot Inspection Status.
  • Update the Inspection Status if the lot should be available for use.

Users Can Select the Lot but Cannot Post the Document

Possible Causes

  • The Inspection Status allows lot selection but blocks Post/Register for the document type being processed.

Solution

  • Review the Inspection Status configuration.
  • Verify whether Post/Register is blocked for the affected transaction type.
  • Change the Inspection Status or complete the required quality process before posting.

Possible Causes

  • The Inspection Status does not have Set Payment on Hold enabled.
  • No default On Hold status has been configured.

Solution

  • Verify the Inspection Status setup.
  • Review the Inspection Status Setup page and confirm that an On Hold status is defined.
  • Check whether the affected lot was assigned the expected Inspection Status.

Next Inspection Status Was Not Applied

Possible Causes

  • The Inspection Status Term Date has not yet been reached.
  • No Next Inspection Status is defined.
  • The update report has not been executed.

Solution

  • Verify the Inspection Status Date and Inspection Status Term Date on the lot.
  • Confirm that a Next Inspection Status has been configured.
