App Installation and Prerequisites

System Requirements

  • Dynamics 365 Business Central (Essential or Premium edition).
  • Permissions to install apps from Microsoft AppSource.
  • Items using Lot tracking.

Installation Steps

  • Navigate to Extension Management in Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Search for “Advanced Lot Management” by Bricklead in AppSource
  • Select Install and accept the terms and conditions
  • Wait for installation completion (typically 2-3 minutes)
  • Refresh your browser to see new menu items

First Steps with Advanced Lot Management

  1. Run Assisted Setup
  • Use the Search and look for Advanced Lot Management Assisted Setup.
  • Follow the guided steps to configure the application.
  1. Configure Lot Number Templates
  • Define the lot numbering structures that will be used to generate consistent and meaningful lot numbers across the organization.
  1. Review Advanced Lot Setup
  • Configure the information that should be maintained for inventory lots and determine how lot records will be managed throughout their lifecycle.

Lot Number Templates Configure standardized lot numbering structures and automatically generate meaningful lot numbers based on business requirements and transaction information.
Lot No. Information Card Central workspace for reviewing and maintaining lot-specific information, inventory details, dates, references, and traceability data.
Advanced Lot No. Information List Analyze inventory lots by location and bin, providing visibility into available stock, expiration information, and lot distribution across the warehouse.
Lot Audit Trail Review changes made to lot information and identify who performed each modification, supporting traceability and compliance requirements.
Lot Handling Wizards Perform lot management operations such as creating sublots, merging lots, updating expiration dates, and other lot maintenance activities while preserving traceability.
Lot Labels Generate and print configurable lot labels and lot reports for warehouse, production, and logistics processes.
