License Plating Setup
The License Plating Setup page is the central configuration area for the application.
It allows administrators to define:
General Settings
- Multiple items allowed on a License Plate
- Multiple lots allowed on a License Plate
- Default License Plate Type
- Default License Plate for non-tracked locations
- Journal settings used during License Plate movements and transfers
Number Series
- License Plate numbering
- Ship License Plate numbering
- Unplanned movement numbering for License Plate transfers
SSCC Configuration

License Plate Type List
The License Plate Type List page defines the categories of handling units used within the warehouse. License Plate Types help standardize warehouse operations and provide meaningful classification of logistic units.
Typical examples include:
- Pallets
- Crates
- Containers
- Boxes
- Returnable packaging
Each License Plate Type contains:

Locations

Important Considerations
- Locations tracked by License Plates must use bins.
- Directed Put-away and Pick locations are not supported.
- In-Transit locations cannot be License Plate tracked.
License Plate List
The License Plate List provides a centralized view of all License Plates in the system.
Warehouse users can:
- Create new License Plates
- Search for existing License Plates
- Review License Plate status
- Open detailed License Plate Cards
- Monitor warehouse activity related to License Plates
This page is commonly used by warehouse supervisors and inventory controllers for day-to-day management.
License Plate Card
The License Plate Card provides a complete view of an individual License Plate.
The page displays information such as:
- License Plate Number
- License Plate Type
- Location
- Zone
- Bin
- Item information
- Quantities
- Lot numbers
- Serial numbers
- Expiration dates
- Quantity currently in use on warehouse activities
Additional Capabilities
- Reusable License Plates: License Plates can be marked as Reusable, preventing them from being deleted even after becoming empty.
- Blocked License Plates: License Plates can be marked as Blocked, preventing their use in warehouse transactions.
- Historical Traceability: When a License Plate becomes empty, the transaction history remains available, providing a complete audit trail of inventory movements and warehouse activities.
Assigned License Plates
The Assigned License Plates page allows users to quickly identify which License Plates have been allocated to specific business documents.
Users can review License Plate assignments for:
- Purchase documents
- Warehouse documents
- Inventory documents
- Sales documents
- Transfer documents
This page is especially useful during picking, shipping, inventory investigations, and traceability exercises.
Transferred License Plate Nos
The Transferred License Plate Nos. page provides visibility into License Plate transfers generated when inventory moves from non-tracked to tracked environments.
Users can:
- Review original and new License Plate numbers
- Verify successful reclassification
- Identify pending transfers
- Trigger the Transfer License Plate action when required
This page is particularly important when receiving inventory into tracked locations where License Plate reclassification occurs after receipt posting.
License Plate Labels
The License Plate Labels page supports the generation and printing of License Plate labels used throughout warehouse operations.
